Sausage Stuffed French Toast Recipe

- ½ cup granulated sugar + 2 tbsp cinnamon mixed
- 1 tbsp room temp butter
- 6-8 slices of bread
- 1 pack chicken sausage or link sausage of choice
- Batter
- 3 eggs
- ¼ cup milk
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 2 tsp cinnamon
- 1 tsp nutmeg
- 1 tsp allspice
Whisk together the batter in a bowl and set aside.
Cut the crusts off the bread
Flatten the bread with a rolling pin
Lightly, Spread butter on bread
Sprinkle on cinnamon sugar
Roll sausage in the bread.
Pinch together the ends.
Dip in french toast batter
Continue with all of the roll ups.
Melt butter in a hot skillet or griddle
Cook until golden brown on all sides
