Ingredients

  • ½ cup granulated sugar + 2 tbsp cinnamon mixed
  • 1 tbsp room temp butter
  • 6-8 slices of bread
  • 1 pack chicken sausage or link sausage of choice
  • Batter
  • 3 eggs
  • ¼ cup milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp nutmeg
  • 1 tsp allspice

Instructions

  • Whisk together the batter in a bowl and set aside.
  • Cut the crusts off the bread
  • Flatten the bread with a rolling pin
  • Lightly, Spread butter on bread
  • Sprinkle on cinnamon sugar
  • Roll sausage in the bread.
  • Pinch together the ends.
  • Dip in french toast batter
  • Continue with all of the roll ups.
  • Melt butter in a hot skillet or griddle
  • Cook until golden brown on all sides
